Asst. Prof. Matti Rissanen became an Academy Research Fellow

The Academy of Finland’s Research Council for Natural Sciences and Engineering granted Matti Rissanen a five-year post as an Academy Research Fellow. The post is highly prestigious: the research council only granted 22 posts, with an 11% success rate of the applications.

Matti studies autocatalytic hydrocarbon oxidation relevant for pollution formation and removal. The end goal of his experimental and theoretical research is cleaner air to breathe and more sustainable energy by combustion practices.
