Research group’s activity focuses especially on the evaluation of cardiovascular function, hemodynamics and cardiometabolics in health and disease (such as hypertension and atherosclerosis) as well as better recognition of high-risk patient.
The Finnish Cardiovascular Study (FINCAVAS)
an ongoing large-scale one-center prospective follow-up (from 2001) study of 4,200 patients focusing on cardiovascular risk (clinical exercise testing population).
The Cardiovascular Risk in Young Finns Study
an ongoing multicentre study of cardiovascular risk factors in Finland. The first cross-sectional study was conducted in 1980 with 3,596 participants aged 3 – 18 years. http://youngfinnsstudy.utu.fi/
