The final event of the EMILE project in Florence

EduLit researchers have collaborated with the University of Florence on the EMILE project, which aims to support teachers in teaching critical online reading.

In the closing seminar, Pirjo Kulju presented her experiences of in-service teacher training in Finland. Other project partners from Florence and Romania presented, among other things, a media literacy learning game developed in the project.

In the workshop “Tools for teaching online reading” Riikka Anttonen presented the Italian teaching materials developed in the project for teachers’ use. Workshop included inspiring discussion with Italian teachers.

The materials for teachers are available in Finnish, English, Swedish and Italian. They are published in the Library of Open Educational Recourses.

The EMILE project (Empowering Schools in Self-regulation of Media and Information Literacy Processes) is funded by the European MEDIA AND INFORMATION Fund managed by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
