EDUneighbours is a joint Finnish-Russian research and action project, funded by the Kone Foundation, examining the role of higher education in constructing the conditions for “good neighbourliness” between Finland and Russia.
EDUneighbours has three main aims :
-
- contribute to academic research on Finnish-Russian relations and cross-border cooperation between Finland and Russia by focusing on cooperation in higher education. Moreover, we plan to participate in the discussion of good neighbourliness on a more general level.
- contribute to previous research on higher education cooperation, and collaborative degree programmes.
- to produce knowledge a) on existing learning environments and construct new learning environments that facilitate the treatment of politically sensitive issues in higher education and b) on the practicalities of double degree arrangements.
