The Finnish Foundation for Alcohol Studies has awarded funding for Teijo Osma’s doctoral dissertation investigating online communities as escapist routes to problem gambling and gaming (Virtuaaliyhteisöt eskapistisena reittinä ongelmalliseen raha- ja digipelaamiseen). Osma’s research utilizes ETL’s data from the Future of Gambling and Self & Technology research projects.
