The Finnish Work Environment Fund has awarded funding for a two-year research project, MUVIT, which examines the growing volume of communication work, the increasing diversity of communication technology use, and their impact on employee well-being in Finnish expert organizations. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study uniquely integrates perspectives from working life studies, organizational communication, and occupational well-being.
The project is led by University Lecturer Kaisa Pekkala (LUT University) and Senior Research Fellow Reetta Oksa. Senior Research Fellow Jussi Okkonen and Roosa Heikkiniemi work in the project.
