That was the fundamental question we asked ourselves some time ago and now we have the answer? Yes, it does, which could be expected but was never shown before. In her PhD, Lea build a challenging cascaded down conversion setup to first generate as many heralded single photons as possible and second convert them into photon pairs to see if angular momentum is conserved.
