…or how we did overcome noise in verifying entanglement.
Together with our colleagues from Vienna (groups of Marcus Huber and Rupert Ursin) and former members, we were able to show in two different experiments how to verify entanglement in extremely noise conditions, i.e. bright daylight! The trick is to use high-dimensional entanglement encoded in time-bins and spatial modes to either fine-grain the state space (time-bin) or to take advantage of the increased number of mutually unbiased bases (spatial modes). Nice work, especially from Sebastian and Frédéric !!!
