Introductory Meeting to health data science profiling area on April 29th

Tampere University received a five-year funding from the Academy of Finland for a strategic profiling area Health data science. The purpose of the profiling is to bring together domain experts on data science and health research across faculties to improve health via a data-driven approach.

We wish all group leaders and directors across Tampere University Faculties and Tampere University Hospital welcome to participate to an introductory meeting, to initiate discussion on the putative focus and research areas of the program.

The meeting is held via Zoom on Thursday April 29th at 10-12 am (Finnish time).

The program of the 2-hour session is to jointly discuss the following issues:

  • Profiling actions to support the research area Health data science
  • Development of research infrastructure and IPR issues
  • Communication and visibility
  • First steps (open positions, seed funding, etc)

We very much wish for open discussion and broad participation across disciplines to take these initial steps.
