Workshop: Use of Genome Data in Medical Research

The first Health Data Science workshop of the PROFI-6 programme is about to take place for group leaders on Nov 16th. The topic of the workshop is to discuss the possibilities and possible bottlenecks in using genome data in medical research at Tampere University. The workshop is organized as a hybrid meeting on November 16th at 10-12, in Arvo building (Kauppi Kampus) and on Zoom.

The workshop will be opened by Prof. Matti Nykter, who will give an introduction to public genome data resources and local infrastructure.

In the subsequent discussion, we wish participants could bring up topics in their research that could benefit from genomic data. We also wish to discuss how such data could be made more accessible for medical research, including generation of sequencing data from local research samples.

Registration ends on Oct 29th. If you did not catch the deadline, and you are interested to join, please contact hds@tuni.fi for remaining seats!
