In this network, we are interested in changes in victimization and offending over time as well as determinant of those changes. On the one hand, we analyze victimization and offending limited to some developmental stage (especially childhood), and on the other hand we analyze life-course-persistent patterns. Significant importance is given to social structure and developmental processes in explaining victimization and offending.
Our special interest lies in using longitudinal register-linkage population data and advanced research methods in providing new insights into the scope and nature of victimization and offending to develop an empirical and theoretical foundation of the life-course criminology.
