Master’s Thesis Prize to Aleksi!

Aleksi Hartikainen awarded Best Master’s Thesis Prize 2025 by the Finnish Physical Society.

We are pleased to announce that Aleksi Hartikainen, a Master’s student (2024-2025) in the Many-Body Theory group, has been awarded the Best Master’s Thesis Prize 2025 by the Finnish Physical Society. The award was presented at the Physics Days 2026 event.

The award recognises outstanding master’s theses in physics completed in Finland and highlights exceptional scientific quality, originality, and contribution to the field. Hartikainen received the award for his thesis titled: “The effect of the quantum nature of nuclei on the electron density of crystalline solids: computational study”, supervised by Ville Härkönen and Jouko Nieminen.
