Our work was presented at the 18th Annual Meeting of the Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials (ScSB2025)

Virginia has just shared her work “Impact of protein adsorption on bioactive glasses and biological response: a step forward towards a predictable cell fate” at the 18th Annual Meeting of the Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials (ScSB2025), hosted in Vanajanlinna (Hämeenlinna, Finland), from the 6th to the 9th of May. She discussed her recent studies about the crucial role of proteins, at the early stage after the implantation of a biomaterial, in determining the cell response and, consequently, the fate of the implant. This knowledge will be fundamental for a deep characterization of the photo-responsive materials developed in MAXheal.
