Verstas Architects is a prize-winning Finnish architecture practice founded founded by Väinö Nikkilä, Jussi Palva, Riina Palva and Ilkka Salminen in 2004. In the recent years the office has gathered a breakthrough portfolio in learning spaces such as education centres, university buildings, as well as day care and leisure centres, among other building programmes.

In 2018, Verstas’ Aalto University Väre Building for the School of Arts, Design and Architecture was opened in Otaniemi (Espoo) as the result of an open competition for architectural ideas held in 2013 in which the proposal ‘Väre’ was awarded with the first prize.

Jussi Palva’s lecture will take place at the Faculty of Built Environment’s Rakennustalo building (RO107A auditorium), Hervanta campus, on Tuesday March 10th, starting at 10:15.
