Ulla Ashorn works as a senior researcher at Tampere University. She has training in the fields of political sciences and public health. She has conducted research on child health-related issues mainly in East Africa. Currently, Ulla is working mostly with iLiNS Project (ilins.org) where she is responsible for studies that examine child nutrition in the local context from the perspective of mothers and other caregivers. Study methods include direct observations in households and repeated in-depth interviews as well as surveys.
