Online Talks on Eurasian Media, the collaborative initiative between TaRC and the Russian Media Lab Network (University of Helsinki), rolls on!
This year’s second session on Tuesday 10 February sees Dr Džina Donauskaitė from Vilnius University and Anastasija Supe-Tetarenko from Rīga Stradiņš University present the recent report Baltic Media Health Check: Tendencies in Media Businesses, Subscription Models, Audiences, and Digital Transformation on media business trends in three small media markets – Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
The presentation covers key trends, financial performance, audience dynamics, policy developments, and the challenges and opportunities that media organizations are facing in the Baltic region.
The talk is based on data analysis and journalistic reporting conducted for the latest issue of the biannual magazine Baltic Media Health Check, which is published by the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
Speakers’ bios:
Dr Džina Donauskaitė is a researcher and lecturer at the Lithuanian Journalism Centre in Vilnius University. Anastasija Supe-Tetarenko is a researcher and lecturer at the Rīga Stradiņš University in Latvia.
