We will hear from Anssi Männistö about his ongoing research project related to the war in Ukraine. He focuses on the idea of strategic narratives by the Ukrainians in his presentation, “Creating and utilizing strategic narratives in the official Twitter/X page of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine“.
Speaker bio:
Dr Anssi Männistö is a Senior Lecturer of Visual Journalism at Tampere University, Finland. He has taught practical skills of photojournalism since 2003. He has done quantitative research of journalistic photographs since the mid-1990s. In recent years, he has worked with projects researching large photographic databases with AI tools.
