The University of Helsinki’s lecture series Spotlight Taiwan returns this year with seven events focusing on Taiwanese culture, identity, history, politics, and society.
This spring, the offer consists of two academic lectures to be held online in April. In the autumn term, the series continues with four more lectures and a film screening event.
The spring term lectures concentrate on trauma, memory, and identity in modern Taiwan (April 11), and on the Milk Tea Alliance in Southeast Asia (April 14). If you want to participate in these events, please click on the links above and fill in the registration form on the website to obtain the Zoom link.
For the tentative autumn programme, please see the Spotlight Taiwan lecture series home page. For any questions on the lecture series, turn to Julie Yu-Wen Chen or Tiina Airaksinen at the University of Helsinki.
