This year, TaRC has a new leader at the helm and it aims to expand its China-related offer.

The new year for TaRC starts with some changes.

Professor Sanna Turoma, who has been responsible for organizing the meetings, now continues as a regular member. Her duties are taken over by Senior Lecturer Katja Lehtisaari.

Thanks to Sanna for the hard work and good luck to Katja!

In the first meeting of the year, it was agreed that TaRC should aim to expand its activities. To this end, plans for bringing together Tampere University scholars to discuss potential research co-operation and collaboration are already underway. More on those on our home page later this winter!

Moreover, members agreed that TaRC should increase its China-related offer. The idea to arrange Online Talks in the same form as TaRC and Russian Media Lab’s co-operation was met with a positive response, and Dr Tatu Laukkanen is looking into options on this front. We hope to have more to tell about this later this spring.

All in all, it promises to be an exciting year at TaRC. Stay tuned for more updates!
