The Finnish Network for Gender and Chronic Illness (GenChron) was launched in August 2025 during the final symposium of Gendered Chronic Disease, Embodied Differences and Biomedical Knowledge (GenDis) project at Tampere University. The network brings together people interested in the social study of gender and chronic conditions in the context of the Finnish healthcare system and Finnish culture.
You can join the network’s mailing list by sending an email with subscribe in the subject to genchron-join@lists.tuni.fi. The purpose of the list is to circulate information about events, publications, calls for papers, and news relevant for the social study of gender and chronic illness.
