TerraGeo – On safe ground
The TerraGeo research group aims to address geotechnical problems holistically. An understanding of the mechanical behaviour of soils and the factors influencing it provides the basis for all research questions and activities. Accurate and reliable soil investigation methods are needed for both research and practice. Together with the monitoring of structures, these lay the basis for the development of computational methods and models. All this should be linked together by a design system that ensures a clear, transparent and consistent level of reliability.
We always try to combine theory with practice. Our research results are widely used in geotechnical design and guidelines.
