Lillehammer 2016

In the Bridging the Gap workshop the main stage for the experiment is a multicamera studio at the Lillehammer University College. The participants from the University of Tampere will produce motion captured performance data and virtual sound design that will be transmitted to the main stage in real-time. Riksteatern from Stockholm will produce the virtual set design for the performance. The dramaturgy and directing is handled by the theatre makers that recently graduated from the Iceland Academy of the Arts. All material will be transmitted through a low-latency fibre connection.

After the demonstration, there will be an open panel discussion where the audience can learn more about the used technologies, the network´s background and the next steps concerning the development in the low-latency technology.

BRIDGING THE GAP 26.10. – 28.10.2016

Short background to previous projects Realtime seminar 2013, TNT Sharegarden 2015, DÅMI 2016 and TNT Bridging the Gap 2016 that included remote production realtime rendering of Mocap/avatar combined with actor against green screen. Uni of Tampere, Finland, Riksteatern Sweden and Uni of Lillehammer Norway. Introduction of a Nordic Center for Distributed Presence.and the benefits it would bring for remote regions in all of the Nordic countries.

Digital Dramaturgy AUGUST 23 – 24 2016

The seminar stretches the fundamental notion of dramaturgy to meet up with the parameters of extended space. The event also sketches the new possible eventual and performative spaces created by new digital solutions.
