Accelerating Beams in Nonlinear Media for Particle Control

Check out our new work on Airy beams. We study the propagation and interaction of ring-Airy beams in nonlinear defocusing media and show, how it is possible, by suitably combining two of such accelerating beams, to create controllable low-intensity regions, along the propagation direction, with strong scattering forces, that could be used for particle trapping and optical tweezing.
