Disruptive Dynamics in the Phenomenon Network: Transforming the Built Environment Sector
Tuesday 17 June at 13:15-14:30
A three-phase Delphi study involving 160 experts from the real estate and construction sector has provided a comprehensive overview of the sector’s multi-level transformation. The results highlight disruptive themes that challenge traditional operating models and underscore the need for new systemic thinking. In addition to methodological considerations, presentation explores conflicting phenomenon networks that emerge from an urban planning perspective.
For example:
- Simplification and crisis preparedness vs. complex smart systems and the local production, storage, and distribution of renewable energy.
- Recognizing the challenges of urban densification and adapting to climate change vs. promoting sustainable mobility through density.
