During the Finnish-language part of the Urban Studies Conference on Friday 8 May, we will also offer English extra program for the participants. You are warmly welcome to join!

Star in a Minute

  • Time: 9:15 – 9:50
  • Place: Toivo Café & Aula (2nd floor), TAU City Centre Main Building
  • Description: Are you a new researcher, a seasoned academic, master’s thesis student, or a rock-solid professional in urban issues? Do you really know your research or work? The answer might be yes. The answer might be no. Let’s find out. No slides. No long talks. Just you, your research, work, and positive vibes. Or you can just come and chill over a cup of coffee.

The City We Know

  • Time: 12:30 – 13:30
  • Place: Outdoor program. Dress according to the climate. You might have to walk to different places in the city that are close to the university.
  • Description: What do you notice when you are passing through an urban area? What comes to your mind when you walk through the Tampere urban landscape? You might have thought about this, or you might not have. Let’s explore the city, but not in the conventional way.
