The students of Sustainable Urban Development from Tampere University have developed ideas for the Kaukajärvi–Annala area in collaboration with the Neighbourhood Programme of the City of Tampere.
The themes relate to strengthening the sense of community, engagement of different age groups to the community, accessibility of the common spaces, car centric design, traffic safety, safety and user-friendliness of cyclist and pedestrian modes of travel, marginalized populations in urban environments, development of Tammipuisto park, and recreational use of lake shores.
The groups have prepared posters and policy briefs on their results which will be introduced in the poster exhibition in Kaukajärvi Library. The language of the event is English.
TURNS will give a commentary and offer some snacks at the event.
