Hosting offers for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023

The Urban Physics Research Group is looking for postdoctoral researchers interested in applying Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) in 2023. Tampere University (TAU) has a longstanding experience in MSCA actions and have achieved high success rates over the years.

MSCA PFs are an excellent, fully paid opportunity for talented researchers to boost their career and skills development. We are preparing now for the 2023 call which is expected to have a deadline of 13 September 2023.

The Urban Physics Research Group at TAU is willing to host MSCA-PF-2023 applicants. We are looking for promising candidates who want to improve their research careers and networks, move to a different, exciting environment and broaden their research horizons.

How to apply

Interested candidates, please send your CV and a brief outline of the proposed research project (both 2 page maximum) to jonathon.taylor(at)tuni.fi before April 12, 2023. Please have “Expression of interest for MSCA PF” in the email title.  Also, a point-by-point Declaration of eligibility is required (see exact eligibility requirements from program pages). This will be double checked by the research support staff. The sooner you approach us the better: we start reviewing applications already during the application period.

MSCA Postdoctoral fellowships

The objective of Postdoctoral Fellowships (PFs) is to support researchers’ careers and foster excellence in research. The funding targets researchers holding a PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers. PFs help researchers gain experience in other countries, disciplines and non-academic sectors.

The fellowship typically covers the researcher’s salary (living and mobility allowance) for up to two years, research, training and networking activities costs and overheads for the host institution.

Eligibility rules

The mobility rule of MSCA PF requires that the researcher (i.e. candidate, applicant) has not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of their host organization (Finland) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline (expected to be 13 September 2023).

Moreover, only candidates with research experience up to 8 years postdoc from the date the PhD degree was granted are eligible (with possible exceptions).

Check the eligibility rules and more details about the program here.
