The course gives an understanding of basic laser phenomena and regimes such as relaxation oscillations, Q-switching, and mode-locking. It also includes an overview of the current state of the art in laser technologies.
The course gives practical experimental skills in four different fields of Photonics: spectroscopy, fiber lasers, microscopy, and holography.
The course gives an overview of state-of-the-art laser-induced technologies with a focus on the key laser parameters.
