The Audio Research Group of Tampere University conducts research related to audio, speech, and music signal processing. This includes signal processing and machine learning algorithms for the content analysis of sounds, audio classification, audio processing, spatial audio.
Audio Research Group is led by four professors:
Associate professor Annamaria Mesaros leads the Machine Listening Group
Assistant professor Archontis Politis focuses on spatial audio and acoustical ML/signal processing.
Professor Okko Räsänen leads the Speech and Cognition Research Group
Professor Tuomas Virtanen focuses on acoustic scene analysis and audio processing.
