Understanding sounds
Listening is more than just hearing.
In addition to hearing, which is a physiological phenomenon, listening involves cognitive processes that include understanding, receiving and interpreting content and relational messages.
But can a machine do this?
Our group
We are a group of 7 people of 7 different nationalities, with expertise in audio signal processing, branching out towards image, video, and natural language processing, in our pursuit of multidisciplinary research. We are active in DCASE Challenge organizing various tasks, and we are committed to open publishing of data, our research results, and tools.
