Mikko Meriläinen studies male gamer experiences
Mikko Meriläinen, an Academy Research Fellow at Tampere University, has received funding from the Research Council of Finland for a large-scale study on male gamers. Meriläinen has noted that game studies have rarely focused extensively on the male gender and male gamers’ experiences of agency within gaming cultures.
