Computing within Limits: Tampere hub on 26 June

Computing within Limits workshop (LIMITS) takes place online on 26-27 June. DigiSus organises a local hub on 26 June at Tampere University (centre campus). Welcome to join!

  • Time: Thursday 26 June 2025, starting at 17 o’clock
  • Place: Tampere University, centre campus (Kalevantie 4), Lyhty building (located at the inner yard behind the Main building)
  • Register your interest to participate: https://forms.office.com/e/fSg7h82Qhs

The LIMITS workshop concerns the role of computing in human societies situated in a world of limits, such as limits of extractive logics, limits to a biosphere’s ability to recover, limits to our knowledge, or limits to technological solutions to societal issues. The aim of the local hub on 26 June is to build community and to stimulate discussion on the workshop program.

Hub program:

  • 17-18: Casual socializing picnic-style with snacks provided by DigiSus.
  • 18 onwards: Following the LIMITS program together. You can stay for the whole evening or just the first 1-2 sessions (due to the nature of the virtual distributed workshop, the program runs quite late, so feel free to attend in a way that is best for your own well-being).
