Grant Writing Camp on 21 August 2026 – Apply by 23 June

DigiSus Research Platform is organizing a one-day Grant Writing Camp on Friday 21 August 2026 for late-phase doctoral researchers, post-docs, research fellows, and early-career tenures whose work relates to themes at the intersection of digitalisation and sustainability, and who have concrete plans to apply for external funding in 2026 or early 2027. The event is free of charge — apply by 23 June!

  • Time: Friday 21 August (8:45–16:20), 2026
  • Main venue: Viikinsaari (we start with breakfast at Fazer Cafe)
  • Apply by Tuesday 23 June: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/kFqgsMrCTG
  • Maximum 8 participants will be selected to join the camp.
  • DigiSus covers venue, ship and catering costs. Please note that registration is binding.

The Grant Writing and Ideation Camp offers an opportunity to receive peer support and insights for early‑stage research ideas and to speed up the writing process for your next grant application. The one‑day camp is focused on writing and one-on-one sparring.

The camp is designed for early-career researchers including late‑phase PhD students, post-docs, and early‑career tenures working on topics that combine digitalisation and sustainability and who plan to apply for funding this year or early next year. You might be aiming for calls from Kone Foundation or The Research Council of Finland or something else. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and afternoon coffee) are covered by the organisers. Whether you’re already deep in writing or still refining your idea — we’ve got you covered.

Applying for the camp

We welcome participants who:

  1. have already published scientific article(s),
  2. are doing research related to DigiSus themes, and
  3. are planning to apply for external funding in 2026 or in early 2027.

A maximum of 8 participants will be selected to join the camp. Apply by filling in this form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/kFqgsMrCTG

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 23 June 2026, but DigiSus reserves the right to close the application form earlier if the maximum number of eligible participants is reached, so apply early!

The applicants are informed by Tuesday 30 June whether they are accepted to the camp. Note that registration is binding but participation can be to some degree tailored to meet schedule conflicts.
