The EduKnow research group member Anna Medvedeva defended her doctoral dissertation at the University of Helsinki on June 15.
Anna’s research “University Internationalization and International Master’s Programs” was supervised by Jaakko Kauko, University of Tampere, and Sonja Kosunen, University of Helsinki and the dissertation “focuses on international master’s programs and develops an analytic typology of normative ideas, planning, and practices for understanding gaps in internationalization.”
The defence had as custos Professor Markku Jahnukainen, University of Helsinki. The official opponent was Professor Fazal Rizvi, University of Melbourne, with whom Anna had an interesting debate of concepts and ideas on the topic of internationalization of higher education.
