"Soviet, post-Soviet and neo-liberal: Governing Russian schools through quality assurance and evaluation" new article by Galina Gurova

The SAGE journal Policy Futures in Education has recently published an article by the EDUKNOW member Galina Gurova. The article is titled “Soviet, post-Soviet and neo-liberal: Governing Russian schools through quality assurance and evaluation”. It problematizes the dichotomy between neo-liberalism and socialism by highlighting complexities, contradictions and continuities within and between previous and present regimes of education governance in Russia. It also sheds light on the local education practices in Russia.The research for the article was conducted as a part of comparative project on quality assurance in Brasilian, Chinese and Russian education (BCR).
