Power electronics laboratories
Grid-Connected Systems and Energy Storage laboratory facilities enable comprehensive analysis of various grid-connected systems including single- and three-phase inverters, solar-power systems, and wind-power systems. Power electronic systems facilities enable testing of software solutions for different power electronic systems, such as variable speed drives, and grid-connected converters.
Electromechanics laboratory
Electromechanics laboratory provides facilities for characterizing the properties and power losses of magnetic materials and components over a wide frequency range, power consumption and production of different electromagnetic and electromechanical actuators and generators as well as forces, vibrations, motion and temperature rise occurring in such devices.
High voltage laboratory
The High voltage laboratory of Tampere University is the only notable independent HV laboratory in Finland offering services for both academia and industry. Wide range of high quality testing and diagnostics facilities enables not only electrical but also various environmental tests as well as comprehensive dielectric characterization and visualization capabilities.
