EAOHP2026

Tampere University researchers contributed to the 17th European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology (EAOHP 2026) Conference in Helsinki with presentations on social media harassment, online harassment reporting, cyberbullying-related distress and loneliness at work.

Tampere University researchers took part in the EAOHP 2026 conference, held at the University of Helsinki under the theme *Mental health at work: From research to policy and practice*. The conference focused on work-related psychosocial risks, mental health and the changing world of work.

The research group was involved in the symposium “Social Media Harassment Directed at Workers: Exploring a Contemporary Work-related Stressor”, which examined online harassment as an emerging work-related stressor. The symposium included presentations by Professor Atte Oksanen on cyberbullying victimization, technostress and exhaustion, and by Dr. Magdalena Celuch on whether reporting work-related online harassment helps prevent recurrence and promote well-being.

In addition, Dr. Reetta Oksa presented her work with Dr. Nina Savela, “Feeling Like an Outsider and Lonely at Work: Does Work Mode Matter?”. Their study explored how remote and hybrid work, digital collaboration tools and organizational practices are linked with experiences of belonging, loneliness and disconnection at work.
