The topic of the workshop was to discuss the possibilities and possible bottlenecks in applying health data science on real-world data at Tampere University.
The workshop was opened by Profs. Anssi Auvinen (epidemiology) and Jaakko Nevalainen (biostatistics), who gave introductions to selected real-world data types that have earlier been used and integrated in health data science.
In the subsequent discussion, we wished participants could bring up topics in their research that could benefit from real-world data. We also wished to discuss how such data could be made more accessible for researchers.
