President Mari Walls has appointed a steering group for research data management. The group’s overall task is to prepare, guide and monitor the management of research data and related research outputs (e.g. software, code and methods). As part of this task, the steering group guides and develops services related to research data and prioritizes and monitors the implementation of the open science action programme’s data and related outputs. The group is chaired by Vice President of Research Juha Teperi.
The other members of the research data management steering group represent the management of the faculties and service units: Antti Lönnqvist (Dean, BEN), Sami Pirkola (Research Vice Dean, SOC), Riitta Lähdemäki (Library Director), Anu Juslin (Director of Research Services), Jussi-Pekka Pispa (Chief Information Officer).
The steering group’s secretary is Susanna Nykyri (Manager, Library).
If necessary, the steering group invites experts and the preparations are carried out in cooperation with, for example, the research data services. The term of office of the steering group is 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2022.
