Love Data Week 2022: Everlasting data love

Many people wish that love carried themselves from here to eternity or at least until the golden wedding anniversary.  A relationship can be rewarding, but nevertheless one can end up on the grave of love or divorced very harmoniously.

The relationship with the data can last for decades, especially when it comes to longitudinal research. However, the burial of data (=destruction) may be ahead of us, as the relationship is already predetermined to end for ethical or legislative reasons, for example. Bury your beloved data with dignity and in accordance with security policies.  It is great if you can give up your data and archive it in a data archive. Let the good get around and give others the chance of a warm relationship with your ex-lover. If you still hung up on your old flame (cf. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton), you’ll find your loved one in the data archive where you saved it.
