Love Data Week 2022: Everyday (data) love

Falling in love is often a heady moment and a time when you float in the clouds and your heart pounds. Everlasting love and relationships require interaction and the willpower to work for the love even on difficult and ordinary days. This is the way a relationship is often portrayed in love novels and magazines and lifestyle guides.

When it comes to data, the name of the game is pretty much the same. Of course, you may manage to spend sensual moments with your data: data collection produces rich datasets and the data actually screams out the results by itself. In reality, it takes time and effort to curate your data. The collection of data must be carefully prepared (e.g. research permits, ethical statements, the recruitment of the research subjects), the data must be stored in a safe environment  and analysed with appropriate tools. It is also a good idea to document the stages of the data relationship so that you can keep in mind all the common good (and less good) that you have shared. Perhaps outsiders and new generation are also interested in reading about the phases of the data relationship. Let’s give a value for everyday data love!
