Three foundational principles of mobile multiprofessional homelessness work

pathway

1.

Mobile multiprofessional homelessness work is conducted in in a fast-response mode, flexibly and in locations suitable for the clients, seeking out, escorting and following up on the clients. Escorted transfer of clients moving between services is a characteristic feature of this way of working.

2.

Mobile homelessness work is carried out multiprofessionally, so that each client is supported not only in obtaining and keeping a home of one’s own but also in issues of health, addictions and other challenges of life. The multiprofessional way of working is realized as intensive collaboration between practitioners representing different professions, for example in joint teams. Mere consultations between professional groups are not necessarily sufficient.

3.

Mobile multiprofessional homelessness work has a dual mission. On the one hand, it supports vulnerable clients. On the other hand, it simultaneously integrates the fragmented service system by negotiating with different service providers and initiating collaboration agreements when possible.
