Hybrid Turku

Visions on the future development of the city of Turku by students of the Tampere School of Architecture are shown at the Visitor and Innovation Centre Joki in Turku until February 27th

The exhibition ‘Futures of the Science Park’ showcases a selection of design works developed by architecture students in the courses Innovative Strategies in Architectural Design and Experimental Architectural Design, held in Autumn 2019 at the Tampere University Faculty of Built Environment.

The students’ works focus on the development of the Kupittaa area and Turku Science Park with hybrid proposals including intertwined spaces for living, working and leisure time. Hybrid and time was the general theme of the two courses, run as a collaboration between the chairs of Public Building Design and Housing Design.
