The special issue Casas en Finlandia / Houses in Finland, published in Spanish and English by the Argentina-based publisher Diseño Editorial and guest edited by architect, professor Fernando Nieto, features twelve single-family houses settled in natural environments and built in Finland during the present century. The houses, designed by Finnish architecture offices, propose new ways of inhabiting nature through advanced formal, material and spatial solutions.
The event will host two presentations by the main designers of two houses featured in the issue, Martin Lukasczyk from ORTRAUM Architects and Kivi Sotamaa from Ateljé Sotamaa. After the presentations, there will be a dialogue on the houses’ design process with the authors moderated by architect, postdoctoral researcher Rosana Rubio and architect, professor Fernando Nieto.
The event, held in English and included as part of the Iberoamerikkalaista kulttuuria – Iberofest Tampere, starts at 17.00 at the Metso Library’s Lehmus lecture hall [Pirkankantu 2, Tampere]. The entrance is free without registration.
