The book Arquitectura de la soledad has been shortlisted for the Spanish Architecture Awards 2025

The research book Arquitectura de la soledad (Architecture of Loneliness and Solitude) has been shortlisted by the Professional Association of Architects in Madrid (COAM) among the 31 works done by Madrid-based architects to take part in the Spanish Architecture Awards 2025 (Premios ARQUITECTURA 2025). There are a total of 201 works by architects from all over Spain to take part in the next stage of the awards organised by the Council of Architects’ Associations in Spain (CSCAE).

Arquitectura de la soledad is a research book co-edited by Rosana Rubio and Fernando Nieto, respectively former Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Professor at the Tampere University’s Faculty of Built Environment, School of Architecture. Published by Ediciones Asimétricas in 2024, the book gathers ten essays on the implications and influence of the built environment in the experiences of loneliness and solitude from different perspectives and disciplines such as architecture, philosophy, sociology, psychology and public health.
