Study: Young people’s food choices remain far from the goals of a healthy and sustainable diet – new societal measures are needed

A new Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) Youth Nutrition Survey highlights concerning dietary patterns among young people. According to Professor Suvi Virtanen, regular meals and a varied diet are important for wellbeing, growth, and long-term health, while many risk factors for disease begin to develop already in childhood and adolescence.
