TaRC Welcomes Chinese Researcher on Study Exchange

TaRC continues to build bridges by hosting a Chinese researcher at the Communication Sciences Unit from March to September 2021.

Zhu Xi, Ph.D. student from the School of Journalism and Communication at the Renmin University of China, is coming to the Communication Sciences Unit at Tampere University to work on his doctoral dissertation on Comparative Research on Chinese and Russian Media Systems.

Zhu will spend six months in Tampere, from 12 March to 10 September 2021. His research visit includes collecting data from Russian media for primary analysis, collecting relevant sources for the theoretical part of the dissertation, writing chapters of the dissertation and presenting his research to the TaRC community.

Zhu will have regular meetings with his supervisor in Tampere, Dr. Svetlana Pasti, for the consultations necessary for the development and deepening of research. This visit aims to foster collaboration between TaRC researchers and to promote collaborative projects and publications.
