Congrats to David Trejo-Garcia!

Our PhD student David Trejo-Garcia has received a Scholarship from The Ministry of Science, Humanities and Technology and Innovation of Mexico (Secihti); to continue pursuing his Doctoral Degree within the Group.
David’s project has focused on studying the role of many-body quantum phenomena in the response of model optical systems, such as free and confined electron gases. This is done through the unique characteristics of Path integral Monte Carlo, which allows for an exact study of quantum properties at finite temperatures.
In our latest pre-print, we study these effects in electron gases confined in semi-infinite slabs with thicknesses of a few atoms. More can be found in our latest post
Congrats!
