TURNS seed and mobility funding 2026 decisions have been made, and you can find the list of funded initiatives on our website: TURNS seed and mobility funding decisions 2026. In the 2026 call, we received 51 applications and were able to fund 12 initiatives (23 % of all applications).
TURNS research enrichment funding call 2026 opens on 1 April. Funding is granted, for example, for the production and dissemination of materials that popularize research; stakeholder cooperation; and/or the organization of community events. We also support art-science collaboration and the use of creative methods. The enrichment project should build upon existing urban research activities carried out at Tampere University, and the main applicant must be from Tampere University. Membership news: Tampere University has become a New European Bauhaus NEB partner and a member of Urban Europe Research Alliance UERA. We have also renewed our institutional membership in European Urban Research Association EURA.

Here are some TURNS activities taking place in Tampere this spring. We will send separate information about the events via our mailing list, but here are already some Save the Date announcements and links to the event websites (changes possible).
23.4. TURNS Thursday: Film Screening – the Battle for Lapinlahti / Taistelu Lapinlahdesta (Arthouse Cinema Niagara) TURNS has reserved 40 free tickets for the TURNS mailing list members. The free tickets can be booked on the event website between the 9th – 16th of April.

CO-CARBON research project’s final seminar: Where is urban green in climate action?
