Our team in collaboration with researchers from researchers from the Instituto de Óptica Daza de Valdés and the Indian Institute of Technology investigated the noise in GRIN and multimode fibers

The study compares the relative intensity noise of all-fiber supercontinuum generated in multimode step-index a nd graded-index fibers. In this article Ines Cáceres Pablo et al,  show that SC in GRIN fibers exhibits lower noise and a near-single-mode spatial profile across the spectrum, making it a promising alternative to single-mode fibers for low-noise applications.
